Good Evening from sunny Kildare!
Afternoon all.
Im Piers from Kildare, formerly of Saff Landan (South London for those not familiar with our dialect) though!
Those who own Force-on-Force will have seen my work as I do all the miniatures pics for them and write for them too... My Vietnam supplement is out in October (shameless plug 1).
Anyway, I hope to get up (or get a few people down here) to run through a few games.
At present Im part of a small, but very active club, in Kildare and we do lots of things!
Some of the current projects are...
20mm ARVN for Vietnam
20mm Warsaw Pact, Belgians and Norwegians for Cold War!
20mm Iranians, Iraqis and Kuwaitis - I have a thing for that area...
Lots of 20mm WW2 (an ongoing thing for the last 15 years!)
28mm Late Romans
28mm AWI
15mm Naps
6mm WW2
28mm Thirty Years War
28mm Sci-Fi
28mm Fantasy
As you can see its quite a mix, and we can do a whole load of different things.
We have also run some pretty big games in the past, last year we ran the first Guild Big Game set during the Cold War...

Our club games every Friday night, so a few pictures from recent games...

I also do a bit of sculpting for Elhiem Figures, run an online forum aimed primarily at 20mm gamers ([You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] and the odd article in SOTCW and Wargames Illustrated...
Thats about it really.... Plenty of eye candy if anyones interested!

Re: Good Evening from sunny Kildare!
Welcome Piers! Andy has mentioned he's been in comms with you on the AAG forums, so thanks for coming on here to say hello to everyone
Yup, just getting into Force on Force here as you know and waiting on an order coming from Elhiem for the entire range of middle east conflict minis. Hope to meet you in the near future either welcoming you up here or seeing you at a con. I know you can't make QCon, but we'll be at Brocon next month too.
Love the pictures of your tables...very impressive. I can imagine Trevor and Mike (our terrain building 'gurus') salivating as i type....hoping this will give them the inspiration to knock up something as good for Arkham
Anyway, hello and welcome sir!

Welcome Piers!!
Just want to add that Andy had his first run through of FoF with me and Trev (Tyzer). I am impressed! Have seen it played as Ambush Alley a number of times at the Cons in Ireland - always wanted to have a game but never quite made it.
We have a big interest in it now as well as Secrets of the Third Reich, Malifaux, Warmachine, Infiinity Kings of War Boardgames and of course GW stuff too. Helms Deep will be appearing at Q-Con this year!!
Glad to have you on board and look forward to meeting you.

Cheers lads... Im only good for wargaming porn really...
Some of our Vietnam tables (actually used to playtest Ambush Valley...), lots of trees! Dont forget, Vietnam has lots of 'normal' trees, such as pines for example around the highlands.

Re: Good Evening from sunny Kildare!
Hi piers i've know your work for quite awhile. Played Ambuch Alley and Force On Focre when they came out.
Allow not for over nealy two years. I am as far as i know the only one in or little club that has played the game.
Been working on a large number of 15mm sci-fi for tommow's war. Also been looking at doing some cold war next year in 15mm.
I hear you might be up for Q-con be intresing to put a face to the name.
Anyway good to hear from you and hope you do get up, all the best.

I don't worry if it's half empty or half full. Just that it's not big enough. Oh to be more European and have Litre glasses
Those tables are lovely looking. Drool material definitely. The toys and the Guinness!

Re: Good Evening from sunny Kildare!
I've just had a look at your store and I think some of your dimensions are off.
Makes it a bit confusing.
2m x 1.25m Green Mat
[2X125GM] EUR28.99
1.25m x 1.25m Matowar Green ( Field Grass) Mat High quality mid green coloured wargaming mat. ( Imperial dimensions approx 6'6" x 6'6" )
Makes it a bit confusing.
